Learn more about what routines and rituals mean to Keys Soulcare.
– KEYS SOULCARE
What is a ritual?
While you don’t NEED a skincare ritual, we want to encourage self-care and self-love. Whether that means using our Golden Cleanser daily or taking advantage of one of our multi-step rituals, we encourage you to take the time you need to take care of your skin and yourself. This is about you and how you want to feel.
At Keys Soulcare, we believe in the power of consistent and holistic self-care. Inspired by Alicia’s love of ancient beauty rituals, our soulcare offerings are meant to transform the time we spend caring for our skin into moments of personal ceremony.
What is the difference between a skincare routine and a ritual?
A routine is defined as a regular or habitual series of steps or procedures, which is great when it comes to skincare, because it encourages consistency. We think of rituals as routines that are more than skin deep — simply adding that moment of mindfulness and perhaps an affirmation into our routines to care for our mind and spirit, along with our physical body.
What order should your skincare routine go?
There are no hard and fast rules, but generally I recommend starting by cleansing with a gentle cleanser. After facial cleansing, apply a sunscreen as the first layer of skincare as it’s closest to the skin (If your moisturizer has SPF, you can skip this step!). Then you can layer hydrating and renewing serums, if using, and moisturizer. Face mists can be used right after cleansings — and /or as a final step if desired. Our soul-nurturing rituals have been thoughtfully designed to guide our lightworkers through their skincare routines.
Where do I start with skincare?
At Keys Soulcare, our skincare offerings were formulated to suit all skin types. I recommend starting with our Golden Cleanser and Skin Transformation Cream, morning and night.
