Deborah Hanekamp found her calling by creating healing through rituals. Through medicine readings — during which Hanekamp reads a client’s aura and discusses intentions — she challenges those she works with to see their light in order to become their own healers. Hanekamp’s work over the past two decades has earned her a dedicated following, and the name Mama Medicine. And while she is dedicated to healing others, Mama Medicine also masterfully holds space to keep herself grounded. Here, she shares a few of the ways she looks after and celebrates herself.
