Gentle reminder: It’s time to step outside of your comfort zone.
– KEYS SOULCARE
“The art of dreaming…To me, it starts with being outside of your comfort zone. Being in places you’ve never been and trying things you’ve never tried. That’s what leads to inspiration. What’s your art of dreaming?” — Alicia
When we surround ourselves with familiar things and people, it’s easy to get stuck in our routines and ways of thinking. While our comfort zone feels incredibly safe, it limits our growth and creativity. Opening ourselves to fresh perspectives and ideas outside our comfort zones exposes us to new experiences.
Alicia’s dreamy escape is a reminder to ritualize seeking inspiration to break out of creative ruts. Creativity allows us to find new resources and habits to nurture fresh ideas when feeling uninspired or stuck. Seeking inspiration outside our comfort zone can also help us develop empathy and understanding for others. When we experience unfamiliar things and people, we’re forced to confront our assumptions and biases. (And yes, this can be uncomfortable.) By broadening our perspectives, we can become more compassionate and inclusive individuals.
Another reason to look for inspiration outside of our comfort zone? It builds resilience. Leaving behind what’s familiar means we’re forced to adapt and problem-solve in new or challenging situations. This is an invaluable opportunity to develop skills and strengths we might not have otherwise.
What is the best part of leaving your comfort zone? It’s fun and rewarding. Trying new things and exploring new places can be scary, but it keeps us more alive and connected to our inner and outer world.
So if you feel like it’s time to raise your vibration, consider stepping outside your comfort zone. Try a new hobby, visit a new place, or seek new perspectives. You might be surprised by what you discover!
