From new classes to learning more about ourselves, here’s what we plan on exploring in 2021.
– KEYS SOULCARE
This year we’re easing away from expectation — and those cheesy resolutions — and shifting our energy inward to give our minds and spirits some extra love. Here’s what our team is looking to learn, explore, and go deeper with in 2021.
“Every night before I go to bed I write down three things I’m grateful for from that day. It can be specific or vague but always three things. (Like my family or the extra chicken nugget that was in my eight-piece lunch order. You get what I’m saying). Really helps me go to sleep in a better mood. And to read more books! There are so many good reads and just not enough time. I am a HUGE book lover. I just started A Promised Land!”
— Rene, Digital Marketing & Strategy
“Meditate. I have a really hard time slowing down, collecting my thoughts, and regrounding myself. During this journey [with] Keys Soulcare, I’ve really been trying to [reflect] on how to give back to myself and my family. I typically work out daily and that is what I currently use as ‘my time;’ I call my workouts jokingly mental prozac. [But] sometimes, I just don’t want to go and run. I’m going to use my Peloton app and take that time to try to learn how to meditate, one minute at a time.”
— Renée Snyder, M.D., consulting dermatologist for Keys Soulcare
“Two years ago, I spent time studying wine and sat for the Level 2 WSET, which would allow me to work as a wine professional. I’d like to get back into studying wine and go deeper. It’s such a dynamic industry that combines agriculture, history, geography, and all of the senses! I also feel like in some way, I am paying homage to my family’s farming roots by learning how to cultivate vineyards. I’d also like to start learning more about astrology and the sun-earth-moon system. It also ties back to agriculture but also to our natural ecosystem which is super fascinating.”
— Nichole, Senior Director
“I would like to learn more about cooking with spices, especially in soups. I have so many Smitten Kitchen recipes I’d like to try.”
— Ari, Account Manager
“I would love to learn more about starting a business. What is step one and two beyond the creative idea? Also, how to start being a cautious shopper — when to say yes and no from a mental perspective. And lastly: why do you wake up with anxiety? Is it because of your dreams? What’s the psychology behind it to then push it aside and realize it’s not real?”
— Maggie, Content Producer
“I want to build the habit of learning into my regular routine. It could be something to build my professional skills or getting better at Spanish, which I never took formally in school but have picked up through traveling. I’d love to build up my confidence to speak with locals (whenever travel happens again)!”
— Cassie, Account Director
“I’ve always been fascinated by messaging, art, and culture. Graphic design is a discipline that ties many of these fields together… and keeps inspiring others from there on out. I’m researching design classes — or even a certificate course — to take this spring.”
— Tiffany, Content Director
