We’re celebrating the ability to put life into our limbs — and sharing what keeps 5 women in tune, from head to toe.

There are few things cooler than the sensation of breathing life into our limbs — from the endorphin rush of a hard won, really good sweat to just giving gratitude to the bodies that carry us through our days. It’s a gift worth celebrating, and today we’re opening up the convo to five women in our community. Here’s what inspires them to stay moving.

“The feeling of power that runs through my body, rinsing out every negative thing when I’m done with a long run.” — Nisreen, 32, New York, NY

“A great playlist. Music makes me want to shake my bones and can change a casual walk into a jog in three rhythms flat. Then, when I start moving more and feeling better, it makes me want to move more and more, and feel better and better.” — Meghan, 36, Tulsa, OK

“So I can justify eating tacos!” — Erica, 35, Atlanta, GA

“To get the creaks out of my limbs to move through my day more freely. Also so I’m not out of breath at the end of twirling around the room to ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’ with my son!” — Tiffany, 38, Brooklyn, NY

“Having a sense of routine and ritual when everything else in my life, and in the world at large, feels topsy-turvy and unwieldy. And having something that’s just for me!” — Lauren, 37, Roanoke, VA
