Four lightworkers share when their physical and spiritual selves feel most united.
– KEY SOULCARE
Our bodies keep us grounded — literally and figuratively. While we extend far beyond our physical selves, prioritizing a loving partnership with our bodies has always been a plus for our mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Finding ways to appreciate what your body does for you, and giving some love back, is a beautiful way to express gratitude.
Like any relationship, the ones to our bodies are super unique — and ever-changing. We asked our lightworker community about times and tools for connecting to their bodies. Here’s what they had to say:
“I feel most connected to my body when I’m working out. When I’m in it, I imagine every breath I take streaming oxygen through my veins into whatever muscle I’m using. I love to sweat and go to the deep edge of borderline exhaustion and exhilaration. I do this to get a glimpse of self-oneness and being. Ironically, this momentary connection to mind, body, and self can never be experienced firsthand because you don’t know that you’ve been there until you have come out of it. Yet, I always learn something new about myself on the way out.” — Danusia Garrison, model
“I feel most connected to my body when I cook meals for myself. When I eat, I can feel myself absorbing nutrients from vegetables to keep my body healthy and my skin glowing.” — Jeneal Suquilanda, full-time student
“I feel most connected to my body after I work out. I feel that I have more [will] and better control over my mind, body, and soul.” — Aaron Bryce Turner, model and actor
“I feel most connected to my body when I shower. I love the fact that I’m naked and able to love and caress on all of the areas that I sometimes neglect.” — Yamell Rodriguez, model
